ABOUT US

Jordan Web & App Awards (JAWA) has evolved from the Jordan Web Awards (JWA) which was successfully organized four times by MediaScope.

JAWA aims to serve as an inspiration for designers and developers to produce excellent work and as an archive for that work. Recognizing the creators of the best websites and applications and awarding their skills is the aim of the awards ceremony.

JAWA promotes the innovative spirit of web and app designers to meet professional and international standards, to promote intellectual and production opportunities. The event also encourages all economic sectors to showcase their best websites and apps.

JAWA is a platform for creative people to showcase their works and attain market recognition.

Through JAWA, participants have the opportunity to widen contacts and networks, foster co-operation, enhance knowledge, build capabilities and exchange information.

This event is the only one of its kind, and is well established as the top awards event for the ICT sector In Jordan.

About Media Scope

MediaScope, a media marketing/publishing/event organizing company established in Jordan in 1994, by Zeid Nasser.

Starting with media sales representation of BYTE Middle East, Sport Auto, Arab Ad, Al Hayat, Maktoob.com and other media the company grew to also encompass publishing activities producing Who's Who in Jordan's Advertising & Media, Who's Who in Jordan's ICT and Jordan Real Estate Guide.

In events, the company organizes the Jordan Advertising Awards since 2000, which was the first creative awards ceremony in the country and has been held since in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 in cooperation with the International Advertising Association (IAA) - Jordan Chapter and Arab Ad magazine. This is a now a very big event, attended by 700 guests and dignitaries, with a local/international jury judging over 500 entries from some 50 advertising agencies and design houses in various categories including print, radio, TV, outdoor and, as of next year, interactive media (online and mobile).


MediaScope also organized immedia, the region's first and only Interactive Media Conference, held in 2004 (immedia: 04) and in 2005 (immedia: 05) sponsored by top media, telecom and clients with speakers from inside and outside Jordan.

In 2007, MediaScope launched mediaME.com, the Middle East's largest online community of advertising and media professionals, with over 18,000 members. mediaME also organizes a digital media forum. In 2013, mediaME was acquired by Reef For Software Development.

In 2013, MediaScope partnered with iKoo, the largest Arabic online advertising network in the MENA region, to launch iKoo Levant, which provides online advertising solutions to clients in Levant countries.

Zeid Nasser, managing director of Media Scope, holds an MBA in Marketing and served as the Secretary General of IAA Jordan for four terms (2000-2009), and is a writer in several regional magazines. He is a well-known figure in Jordan and the region in marketing communications.
